Whose Truth?
'The Passion' also shows us the truth about God's love.
The death of Jesus gives us a picture of the enormous love God has for us.
Even though we are in rebellion against him, because of our wrongdoing, He
was prepared to go as far as to send his own son to die the death we deserved,
so that we could be totally free from sin and death.
Surely 'sin' is an out moded, negative word that implies fixed standards of right and wrong. Who can say what is right and what is not today? Is there such a thing as truth?

or actions. Sin is like failing to reach an expected standard: A standard
set by a totally pure, sin-free God.
Sin is not so much DOING wrong, as BEING wrong. Sin has gone right down to
the roots of our being, and this is why our inclination is always to sin.
We cannot control sin in our lives. When we try to, we find out just how
powerful a grip it has on us. Our sinfulness desperately requires a solution.
